Abstracts

With the theme "Empowering Australia’s Clean Energy Future," this year’s conference aims to drive meaningful discussions and innovations that will shape the nation’s energy landscape.

We invite industry professionals, researchers, and academics to submit abstracts that align with this vision. Contributions are welcome from members and non-members across all sectors of Electric Energy industry and related industries, including Mining, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and their associated Supply Chains.

This is a unique opportunity to present cutting-edge research, share expertise, and engage with a diverse network of professionals working to accelerate Australia’s transition to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.

Awards for Best Papers

The Conway and Cresswell Prizes are awarded for the best presentation papers at EECON, hosted annually by the Electric Energy Society of Australia.

Conway Prize: Awarded to the best presentation paper by an EESA member.

Cresswell Prize: Awarded to the best presentation paper by a non-member.

These awards honour the legacies of A.M. Conway and A.J. Cresswell, both influential figures in the early history of Australia's electricity supply engineering community. The prizes are a long-standing tradition, recognising excellence in technical communication and innovation within the industry.

Both winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the Electricity Engineers' Association (NZ) 2026 Annual Conference, and their presentations will be considered for inclusion in the conference technical program.

Winners are announced during the closing session of EECON.
